I want these new tools to feel substantial, and so far the Luminestone and Eldercloth don't really feel they have impact. On the some note of adding more places to actually use the tools you get I want the Eldercloth to be used for more than just those updrafts and be an actual glider so you can jump off edges and take no fall damage. Add some i-frames to the grapple hook so it'd be a way to go through some pesky moves easier. Since air dashes are gone this could be like the new version of it. Now thinking on Monster Hunter do you remember when they added more grapple points in World? I wanna see Sacrifice do that but by using the Luminestone at places where mages frequent often so you can grapple during those mage battles to move around quickly. Progression through equipment I think would be really cool and would allow players to more easily find what play style they wanna go for. The game wants you to use different armor and weapons to adapt to enemies, but due to class restriction you can't actually do that like you can in monster hunter, so why not lean into the monster hunter ascetic rather than dancing the line. It'd just make it easier to know if you've fully explored a place or not so you aren't going in uninteresting circles.Īnother thing I'd like to see since there's a bigger emphasis on hunting mages is to just do away with leveling up entirely. Like having a simple Hollow Knight esque map with no markers other than Mages that can be found throughout the map, and maybe other points of interest you mark yourself. I think the first thing it should do is just add a straight up map for the game which you can mark. I love thinking about game design so I got a couple of ideas for how to mod different aspects of the game to try and improve it. If a modding scene for the game comes up I'd love to see people rebalance the game to try and fix some of its problems. Like the Tools for exploration are fun to mess around with! I love how the grappling hook feels with all its momentum, although I am sad air dashes are gone. I really do have mixed feelings about Salt and Sacrifice since its not trying to be a souls-like and seems like it wants to be Monster Hunter, but the devs don't know how to do Monster Hunter.
